Since 1992, I’ve been dedicated to supporting young people with diverse needs and their families, with a particular focus on neurodiversity. My approach is always holistic—recognising that true support means working not only with the individual but with those around them as well. I believe that understanding and compassion are at the heart of meaningful care.
Over the past 33 years, I worked with Somerset Council, beginning at The Elms Children’s Home, where I supported children and young people with pan-disabilities. For the last 16 years, I managed the CAOT team, working closely with neurodiverse children, young people, and their families. In every role, I’ve remained hands-on, adaptable, and deeply committed to the people I support.
My work is always tailored to the individual—I take time to listen, adapt resources, and create a safe space for self-expression. I am also a trained ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant), offering one-to-one emotional support to young people when they need it most.
Beyond my experience with children and families, I also provide support to adults and the elderly. This includes companionship, help with shopping, attending medical appointments, collecting prescriptions, meal support, and personal care when needed.
If you’re looking for someone who truly listens, understands, and offers support that’s personalised and thoughtful—I’m here to help.
